So… We are cobbling together a 48 minute documentary from the summers ill fated blagging adventure. We are still wrapping up things with Chicken Man, but we are starting to edit this film that we hope to distribute to TV channels. We are looking for un-signed good bands we can use in the sound track to the film, like usual we don’t have any cash but could be a nice platform for a bit of exposure and we’ll run clear music credits at the end of the film. With the X-Factor just about to wrap up, we are going to drop the bomb that is the Chicken Man single! Right now we are roping together a crew and getting things on track for the video, but we’ve just had one of our locations screw up on us. So if anyone out there knows of a space (barn/warehouse/old pub), any space that we can create a glitzy, weird disco in, please drop us a mail asap (fb@fraserbyrne.com). Incase anyone missed it on the front page, here is a vid that kind of wraps up the adventure so far as well as showing some snippets from the World’s Smallest Festival we hosted in September. Watch it with your eyeballs and leave a comment if you like it!

We’ve been slow on updates round here lately to say the least, hopefully this video answers some questions. After a summer locked in the same room together trying to Blag a Million quid, me and Donal have both been working on separate projects, doing dull work for rent and working on more pipe dreams. As a result, updates have been a bit wafer but sometimes life just needs living eh?

Although our 90 days has been and gone, there is still one last nugget of hope: CHICKEN MAN.

We are currently planning his music video and timing the single release around the final of the X-Factor. Don’t know about you guys but I’m sick to death of the sight of Cowell, his fake tanned croonies and all the deluded competitors!

So we’re hoping we can un-earth like minded people in droves and rally support to get Chicken Man to No1! Can you imagine how ridiculous that would be? Keep an ear out for updates and spread the word!

A week has slipped by and no updates from the festival, eeeks. I have been away for the past week working under cover as an independent investigator - seriously. Without leaking too many details, was in the ass end of Germany with no internet connection hiding in bushes with a video camera. Was a wild week and I can add ‘private investigator‘ to my CV along with porn editor, post man, labourer, forecourt attendant, gardener and Tesco’s wine assistant (to name a few).

The festival, despite all odds was an amazing time and went off smoothly(ish), after manic long days driving around London and preparing the garden, our amazing team (made of friends) created a special night packed with great music, comedy and good food. The weather was perfect, we had an awesome mixed crowd, we couldn’t really have asked for more.

This dog creeping around was a nice touch. .

Huge thanks to everyone that got roped into helping make this happen, the support was incredible and we really appreciated everyones hard work, and big thanks to the great bands and comedians that all played for beer and burgers.

These pics don’t do the night justice, we will be leaking more videos and pics over the next few days/week and if anyone that attended took any snaps email them to us (fraser@blagamillion.com) and we’ll post them here.. During the interim, check out the trailer for Howard’s new movie ‘Mr Nice‘, he did want to play this on the night but we couldn’t figure out the borrowed projector in time, so late as ever, feast your eye balls on this…

THE PIPETTES

We are bummed to announced The Pipettes have pulled out of the festival. So a big sorry for everyone who was looking forward to seeing the girls play, we just got a random email from their manager saying ‘due to circumstances beyond our control, The Pipettes have to cancel’. Blah. So that does suck, but hey, its just one band and its still gonna be a kick ass day and the weather forecast is sun, which is a miracle! Although behind the scenes, I can tell you its f*cking stressful!! Eeeeeks. What did we get our selves in for..

A few people have also been asking when the winners will be announced, this will be Saturday lunch time.

THE FESTIVAL IS ON

Things have been really hectic behind the scenes here, Donal has done an AWESOME job pestering managers, labels, comedians and musicians and has pulled together a great line up for Sunday. Not bad considering we have absolute peanuts to work with, so big thanks to everyone behind this festival… Wait till you see the hell he has been through to make it happen.

Check our interview with him where we initially ran the idea by him, seems like decades ago now. I still think we could sell celeb boogers for good cash on Ebay though! Sienna Miller’s booger must be worth at least 31 quid on Ebay no? Mounted on a piece of card and framed…

Here is the creepy invite we issued to Noel Fielding too, we even hand delivered it to him via my girlfriend at the Comicon trade show in San Diego. Never heard a word back from the bugger though… Ah well, we’re still going to have a kick ass day!
