Not really – it is what it is. We are being totally transparent about our motives and are not trying to con or rip-off anyone.
“BUT ISN’T THIS ALL JUST A VIRAL MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR SOME COMPANY?”
Not at all. We genuinely are real people who are taking 3 months out of our lives to do this. Current TV will be airing a weekly 3-minute show, as we have worked with them in the past and we’re still looking for more ways to distribute our films. There are certainly no faceless corporations paying us to do this (although if you are a faceless corporation who would like to make us an offer, please email us at contribute@blagamillion.com).
“OK – I BELIEVE YOU. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO WITH THE CASH?”
If we do blag the million pounds, we are setting up an independent commissioning fund to back wild, ‘risqué’ projects from talented filmmakers, artists and fruitcakes. If we could pull it off, this silly, long shot website could create a unique, strings free, non-corporate fund to fuel a future army of creatives and art fags all screaming out for a break.
“IF YOU WANT MONEY, WHY DON’T YOU GET A JOB?”
We both have jobs, the point is our ‘careers’ have run into a brick wall. We’ve both spent the past 4+ years pitching projects to channels and chasing commissioners. It is hell. Instead of knocking on more doors or making another pilot show, we decided to create an opportunity ourselves and focus our energy on something more DIY and productive. Aside from the actual mission of trying to blag a million pounds, this site serves as a great platform for both of our work. It’s like our own wee TV channel but with no bosses or rules. It’s great fun.
“COOL – HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?”
If you have a means of promoting us, please give us a plug, or forward the videos to your mates and spread the word. Otherwise keep an eye on the ‘schemes’ page, there are tons of wild money making plots in progress, so if you like what you see, feel free to take a punt at one of the schemes.

This could be nails in the coffin, but we are going to try pull this whole thing off without any big annoying pop up adverts, we want to keep the site fun, clean and easy to focus on the films. We are setting up a pixel banner however so if any brands or people do want to advertise, there will be 100,000 or so pixels for sale. Get in!
